It’s picture time!

At this week’s meeting, we will be taking a professional picture for our flier and need some people to dress in business style. If you are interested in helping, comment here so we can get a head count and plan the picture. Please wear business professional style clothes. This does not mean a tuxedo or suit, but rather button down shirts (or blouses) and dark trousers or skirts. We need about 20 people with a good mix of Korean and non-Korean.

이 번주 모임에서 저희 클럽을 알릴 정식 포스터를 위한 사진을 찍을 계획입니다. 한국인과 한국인이 아닌 회원들로 20명 정도를 계획하고 있으니, 관심있으신 분들은 이 게시물 밑에 이름을 남겨주시기 바랍니다. 저희 클럽을 대외적으로 알릴 포스터이니 만큼 사진 촬영시 복장에 제약이 있습니다. 캐주얼은 사양입니다! 회사원 정장도 사양입니다! 정장이지만 조금은 편안한 세미정장으로 하겠습니다. (남방같은 셔츠에 정장바지 혹은 면바지를 입는 것.)

We are going to have TALK Program, which is Korean Government Scholarship Program known as teach and learn in Korea, information session this coming meeting ( 10/ 20/2011 ) !

Announcer is coming all the way from Houston to meet y’all, and this will be great opportunity to get a job from reputable program !

We’re going to Six Flags!

We’re going to Six Flags!! We’re Going to Six Flags!!Guys, get ready for a day of fun and excitement! Oct. 15th is right smack dab in the middle of Six Flag’s annual Fright Fest, so it’s a great time to take our Korean friends to Six Flags and show them how we celebrate Halloween!

Tickets are $24 and are available in the Union on the 3rd floor Information Center. Tell them you are with the Korean Culture Exchange! Also, we ask that you give us $10 to provide enough money to feed everyone picnic style and supply gas fees for the drivers.

If you can give a ride to the people that want to go, please let me know ASAP so we can make proper arrangements.

You must RSVP if you want to come with us. The cut-off date for RSVP is Thursday, October 13th. If you don’t let us know by that time, then you will need to find your own ride to get there.

Six Flags로 고고고!

신날 준비는 되셨나요? 10월 15일은 Six Flag에서 매년 열리는 Fright Festival의 딱 중간 날짜 입니다. 그래서 미국에서는 할로윈을 어떻게 즐기는지 알 수 있는 좋은 기회가 될 것 같습니다.

티켓은 개인당 $24이고, Union 빌딩 3층에 있는 Information Center에서 구입하실 수 있구요, 구입하실 때 KCE(Korean Culture Exchange)의 회원이라고 이야기하시면 됩니다.(그래야 할인된 가격으로 표를 살수 있어요!)
그리고 그날 제공될 식사 비용과 라이드 해주실 분들 기름값 포함해서 $10정도를 걷을 예정입니다.

차가 있어서 라이드를 제공해 주실 수 있는 분들은 되도록 빨리 저에게 말씀해 주시면 감사하겠습니다.

이벤트에 참여하실 수 있는 분들은 참여여부를 꼭 체크해주셔야 합니다.(RSVP) 마감일은 10월 13일 목요일이니 그 전까지 결정해 주시면 됩니다. 그때까지 알려주지 않으시면 라이드가 제공되지 않기때문에 개인적으로 오셔야합니다.

Question: Do you guys care about the rating of the movie? (or if it is violent/scary/etc?) I was trying to stay with something neutral and comedic, but people keep suggesting suspenseful movies. Let me know by the meeting on Thursday!!

First KCE Potluck!

Goooooood evening everyone!!!!

This week’s meeting is going to focus on food~~~ (YEAH! FOOD!!!) In honor of this event, we’re going to have our first KCE potluck!! Please bring some kind of food to our meeting this Thursday. If you are feeling adventurous, please try to make some kind of a Korean dish! If not, bring drinks, snacks, cups, plates, silverwear, napkins, etc. As a reminder, we do have a member with an extreme nut allergy, so please do not bring or make anything with nuts or nut oil.
